‘Origin’ is a 16×20″ resin on canvas artwork (18×22″ including the frame).

Origin: the point or place where something begins, arises or develops.

I made this artwork in my studio in Liverpool city centre using resin and pigment. Resin is a thick liquid that you pour and move on a canvas to create the shapes that you like, and the abstract detailed areas are established by dispersing the pigment using a blow torch. Once dried, the resin forms a smooth and shiny surface, much like glass, leaving a beautiful tactile finish full of exquisite depth.
